The film follows Mike, the owner of a small comic shop in a strip mall in Las Vegas, as he struggles with addiction and his seemingly impossible dream of becoming a comic book illustrator.
It tells the story of how Octavio and Adela were born on the same day: 14 April 1931, but in opposing families. Over the next 90 years their lives will intertwine, through intense encounters and misunderstandings, in eight episodes told in sequence shots.
